switching intake and carb. on my sons 1974 charger with 318 from 2bbl to edelbrock performer and holley 650. do I need all new brackets and throttle cable? Thank you very much for any help.

Hit and miss but id say probably. But if you really need a 4 bbl cable bracket pm me if you dont have one, ive many I will never use.

yes on the throttle bracket and maybe on the throttle cable. set the carb on the intake then set em on a bench next to the car & visual compare the fore/aft distances between old/new horizontle throttle pin on the two carb(s) and extend the current throttle cable out forward & see if visual comparison if it looks like the cable end will reach the pin location on the new carb with the ferrule located on the current bracket

Since the 4-barrel throttle lever sits further forward than the 2-barrel, both the cable and the TP linkage have to extend further forward and the carb will need the correct Mopar throttle lever extension.

If it's an auto you will also need the longer rod for the kickdown assembly.
