Measured each of them - at approx. 1/16" thick.

My guess is that an 059 spacer gets installed between the fan hub and the 2863260 fan clutch...

Edit: The ac and non-ac water pump impellers have different part numbers, maybe this spacer makes up for any difference in length variation between the two? The same fan hub was used on all 1970-71 Mopar engines.

Not aware of any spacer ever on a B body with B/RB engines.
The fan cluch is bolted directly to the water pump .

Fan clutch difference between the 2, is one is viscous clutch ( non ac) and one is thermostatic (with ac )

Can anybody confirm if this spacer was installed prior to 1970-71? Is it listed in the 1968-69 parts book, too?

The 1970-71 parts book lists as only installed on B/RB engines with air cond, fits all but A Body - which didn't have the B engine option for 1970.

it appears in the '68 Parts Catalog (April '68 revision) 383 440 with A/C all bodies with a footnote "* Indicates change or addition."

Never saw one of those before? My fan clutch on both my 69 340 A/C Barracuda and my A12 car bolt directly to the nose of the water pump

I have a couple of them, always wondered what they came from.

My '68 Bee w/factory air has a 2658456 fan clutch and never had a spacer, built mid/late June '68.

I bought my 70 Charger R/T U-code w/A.C. back in 81.Completely unmolested at that time and it didn't have that spacer in front or behind the waterpump pulley. It almost looks like a shim to correct pulley misalignment for belt wear. John.
