So here I am chilling in Iraq looking at HotRod because next to my kids I miss the cars the most and on page 89 of the February issue of HotRod is TonyS451's 4 door street sweeper! Seems the Aussie that bought it is not the shoe that Tony is, he only ran high 11's! Nice ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)
Get your back fixed and build another car!
Gimme a break! Tony ran a best of 11.65(I think) I ran a best of 11.71 The car slowed to 11.8s during the week due to a hesitation as I hit top gear. Not sure why but after consulting Tony we think it may be some crap in the fuel system. I have kept the car to use next year so will investigate next september. Great car by the way.... Cool sleeper and a credit to Tonys building skills. Looking forward to running it next year. May need a recommendation as to a good dyno tuner in the milwaukee area just to help nail down that hesitation. We are really short on time once we get there. Thanks for the photos Ray, I didn't have any under hood shots. Our other cars have landed and we can pick them up Jan 5! Yes we are very patient! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bow.gif)

Yep the Demon when 10.03 on a 10" tire with the 451 and Max wedge ported SR's. We have the SR's on the dart now and the Demon when to Texas. I should have picked up the Demon, or the wagon, or the 4 door, or ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Santa4.gif) Well at least I got to work on all of them

Big Tony in Iraq! Get your butt back home already. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif) I hope its soon...Thanks for spotting the old 4 door and thanks everyone for the nice words. Steve is correct, my best pass with the hydraulic flat tappet cam that is currently in the engine (244@.050/.540 108lsa Straightline Performance)was 11.65 at 114. So Steve did pretty well considering he drove the heck out of it too. It did go 11.55 at 116 with a 238 @ .050 /.540 112lsa solid flat tappet. My guess is the other cars in his class had headers. That being said, I wonder how well Steve and the 4 door would have fared with a decent set of headers? I havn't been around here much, except for the occasional lurk, but I'm starting to get the itch again to get this car going. I'm 3 months into recovery from back surgery, and hope to start turning some (light) wrenches again after the holidays. I sold my 62 Savoy and have this goofy idea to build a 62 Chrysler Newport. I have a stroker in the works, but we'll see what happens with this one. Thanks again for noticing and congrats Steve on a great job at Drag week.
