I think I have some wrong stuff here. I have a 2 pulley fan pulley, I think that's wrong, and I think 2 belts should be the same on the alternator, and 1 small fan belt on a tensioner, and the P/S belt should be 1 belt from the crank to the P/S pulley, is that correct?

Question: Is the Air Conditioner Compressor still in place?

The A/C and Non-A/C use different pulley's. The water pump/Fan and crank pulley's are different. There is an idler pully on a bracket and other different brackets too.

Do you have access to someone else's similar car to compare?

If you can find the Factory Service Manual and Parts Manual that might help too. The A/C on my Charger is in storage in the garage and has been for decades.

When I first switched over to non-A/C, I tried using bushings, etc, to get the bracket belt alignment correct. Eventually, I got the correct pulley's and that solved the problem.

There are also aftermarket pulley sets.

Maybe someone can post pictures of their engine compartments?

Here is a photo of a dilapidated 440 I found on the Internet, but it shows roughly the pulley's and brackets involved:

Thanks!

I saw that too, I just had hoped the water pump pulley was correct, must be, that means I have the wrong water pump pulley, and possible the wrong crank pulley.

THis car still has A/C on it.

There's a double fan pulley available that goes in-route with the power steering/crank belt to aid in belt slippage on high HP applications..

Really??? Not what the books show. All my 70-2 440 HP's are like what I've shown. Got some pictures?

Sorry guys I should have been more specific...It's an aftermarket pulley..Here it is.. LINK ...I was just pointing out there is one out there and it looks stock...Was'nt sure if the pulley in question might have been one of those...I had to use one on a 6bbl engine that had AC and kept smoking the belt when it kicked in... I do have pics of it installed if you still want to see it I'll dig them out...It would certainly throw someone off if you did'nt know it's available...
