Well my grill repair went well on my 69 Charger so now I need to look into paint. Is there any primer needed first? What kind of paint and colors match best? I need black and the silver for the grill. What about flex agent for the paint? Thanks.

I used argent from a Totally Auto, and Krylon/Rustoleum black. You have to find the right black. there is flat, satin, semi-gloss, etc. I think I used satin. When I restored the grille in my 71 RR, I was happy with the results.

Masking sucks though. Be patient. Clean with wax/grease remover.

Use denatured alchohal to clean the plastic! Nothing else or you may have a reaction. Also after that dries ,use Bulldog adheshion promoter. Spray it on lightly covering all the areas you will paint. Let it dry a bit,mThen prime & paint away. Plastic is tricky to work with, especially if theirs old paint on the part.
good luck!
