I've seen v10 engines for sale from trucks converted to diesels that's why I was wondering about the bell pattern.The diesels apparently use a SAE bolt pattern,#3 or 4 I guess years may be different.I did find some bell adapters from SAE to small block Mopar.A flywheel spacer may be different for the v10 vs diesel though. http://www.phxgrp.com/transChrysler.htm Thank for the replies,RT

That is incorrect. The aluminum viper V10 uses the normal small block bellhousing pattern. The iron block truck V10 does use the cummins SAE bellhousing.

The ones I worked on didn't have a SB block pattern, they look more like the V10 and Cummins although I never measured or tried to bolt one up.

Well after further research I've found that both of us are wrong. The Viper V10 uses a pattern similar to the small block but the bolt holes do not line up, apparently it's one all it's own, why they did that I have no idea. I put a clutch in a '92 a long time ago and it didn't look like a SB pattern to me but I guess it's similar.
