Nothing is jumping out at me from your descrip. Something is going on & unless those are the wrong lower ball joints I would thread the tie rods in to shorten that assy.

You may have nailed it! - and now that you mention it I remember reading the wheel track is wider now which would absolutely create my condition. The upper control arms have changed to tubulars now but they are labeled left and right so I'm good there. Well...now to see if there if there is enough adjustment in there with my current parts... I don't recall anybody saying the tie rods or drag link were different so I should be ok. Thanks for the ideas guys!

Something there still sounds hinky...the LBJ would be the same drum to disc. IE the outer tie rod attachment would also be the same. Track width has nothing to do with it. Is it possible the LBJ's are on the wrong sides?
^^^ This the track width is dictated by the design of the rotors and spindles, and I wouldn't expect the tie rods to fall in the same place when switching to a newer design spindle and the lower ball joint.
