As said- I'm just finalizing the conversion and have the car sitting levelled out now but I have a major toe out condition- is this normal when the conversion is done? or is there now different steering parts req'd when converting?
As far as I can tell I think I have it together properly....

What car are you working on? What parts are you using from what year vehicle? This may help in determining what went where.

Doner car was a 6 cyl 73 dart (fastback) going on to my 72 demon 340. So I used my original lower control arms with new lower ball joints spec'd for a 73 disk brake car.

Nothing is jumping out at me from your descrip. Something is going on & unless those are the wrong lower ball joints I would thread the tie rods in to shorten that assy.

You may have nailed it! - and now that you mention it I remember reading the wheel track is wider now which would absolutely create my condition. The upper control arms have changed to tubulars now but they are labeled left and right so I'm good there.
Well...now to see if there if there is enough adjustment in there with my current parts... I don't recall anybody saying the tie rods or drag link were different so I should be ok.
Thanks for the ideas guys!

Something there still sounds hinky...the LBJ would be the same drum to disc. IE the outer tie rod attachment would also be the same. Track width has nothing to do with it. Is it possible the LBJ's are on the wrong sides?

^^^ This the track width is dictated by the design of the rotors and spindles, and I wouldn't expect the tie rods to fall in the same place when switching to a newer design spindle and the lower ball joint.

Each time I have converted a 67-72 A body to a later 4.5 disc setup, I always use the 73 and later center link and tie rods. The "clocked" design of the 67-72 center link may be a contributing factor. I see it as a better move to swap over the entire 73-76 stuff to reduce chances of any mix-up.
