I had a new vinyl top installed on my 74 Scamp. I am putting in a new windshield and back glass. how far should the vinyl go under the windshield gasket??

no one? Should it go under the windshield gasket at all?

I'm no expert - I've installed one vinyl top. I ran mine down the vertical edge of the frame and stopped there. Cut out for the welded trim clips. Some clips use screws, so add some sealant to the screws. The horizontal surface stayed clean for the window gasket to seal.

Pretty much the same as he's describing other than the factory used metal staples in some areas to hold the top on..They wanted to make sure it was secured the fast and easy way..
