IIRC, when Troy was doing his T/A resto, the plunger on the T/A lifters are different than the replacement lifters you get today.

And 273 push rods are for solid cam motors. IIRC, the 340-6 is the only hydraulic lifter small block to use an adjustable push rod.

Get custom pushrods with the adjusting screw in a good place and check for cup to rocker body cleanance at max and min lift.
