Now I know why you are "QuickTree" great meeting you and the other members. I hope you recover quickly, I would like to spend a bit more time at a drag event and see you fine-tune that missile. I saw some cars get all bowed up at launch, QuickTree's car just shoots forward to the finish line like the ProStock cars I've seen on TV. Amazing. I would have been happy to video you. Next time maybe I'll get a chance. I agree that we need to support Randy's efforts to revive this event. Fantastic place to visit. Yes, it was hot. Looking forward to next year, maybe I'll get a chance to run my "Performance Only" powered Swinger. Copper

Quicktree, thanks for your comment about the Fury. I really hope that your injury is minor and you have a "quickrecovery"
I hope my brother shared some of those doughnuts, he came back with thoughts of building a race car. A couple days at a great facility and seeing cars like yours will do that.
Randy told him that he had to deduct a few points off my Fury because I changed out the tunnelram, I hope Randy will give them back to me because of all the miles the car has driven since.
I would love to see that event grow but I really think the date is what may hold it back.
to be continued.......

Well, from my point of view and how I look at the Event schedule I can do only a couple larger events a year one being Garlits and the other could be one of plenty that are available. I really only can afford two day type shows it is not in my nor (most guys budgets) to do drag week or power tour events or events that are more than one day travel each way I personally hit an all time high going to events this year or season, starting in November Garlits, Turkey Run Daytona, Melborne swap, Kissimmee Auction, University Dodge mopar show, MEGA Mopar at PBIR, Kissimmee Good Guys show. plus a dozen small cruise-in type shows and events. I can name another dozen events that I didn't go to. This one is late in the season and hot, and I am thinking about trying to make Carlisle or the Nats so I write off the shows after April and consider it cruise-in time until the season begins again in late October -November Of course this has much to do with living in South Florida, the Drive is an added four hours to any venue north of Ocala. I would like to see this show placed around the first of the year, the property is large enough to hold all of the cars and vendors that show up for Garlits and all the racers that can be found. It is before the Drag season starts so it would be a tuning session for bigger names and teams. I could go on but.. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SERVE AND HAVE SERVED AND THEIR FAMILYIES FOR YOUR SACRIFICE GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU

We had a great time too. I got to meet a few members that stopped by our pit space. I got to meet George Bryce of Starz racing, what a great guy he helped us out with some tools we needed It was hot and even hotter when you have to unload three race cars 4 days in a row!

Ralph, next year i'll remember to bring a large cooler of ice and bottled water I'd bet that a pair of young ladies with a golf cart selling ice cold bottled water would be able to buy a racecar in cash by sunday night! Did I say it was HOT?

I forgot to mention Locomotion's Duster flat out flys..................... and then you find that its a SMALL BLOCK WOW! I left the event both wanting to build a racecar and amazed how fast 11.50 are in the 1/4 mile (11.50 was kindof my secret goal for my Copper Dart) wondering if I have the Drive and Pocket to realize making my car run a 11.5 1/4

It's a Dart Sport....a Dart Sport! lol But thank you for the compliment. I had it toned down just a bit, partially because of concerns with the very hot track surface. They did a good job & it was fine for me, until the Semi's on Sunday after they ran some show cars. Radial slicks are faster, but "sensitive". It was good to meet everyone, some again - Copper Dart, CheapStreet, Quicktree & others. It's been a couple of years since I was able to attend. It was hot, but a light breeze helped the situation a bit. As mentioned...somewhere....there was an idea to have "Mopars Against The World" on Saturday only. But even then, the Mopars would all run together until there was one left in each class. The "World" would be run until there was only one left in each class. Maybe there would be a bonus if the Mopar won the run-off. So the Mopars would still run together and the "World" would help the payouts! Sunday's race would still be All-Mopar. Excellent compromise in my opinion. Could have Brand X parking in the back somewhere. They also said they would try to keep the rush between rounds to a minimum. It's rough on the cars as well as drivers. But the extra cars would help in that respect as well. Amount and variety of vendors seemed decent. But several left before Sunday. I saw a reasonable deal on a rear end core, but they left early! Many nice show cars. But I didn't get around to checking them out. I worked my butt off, but had fun. Hopefully they'll start advertising earlier next year so everyone will be able to plan for it.

Got a nice chuckle with the P part number on the nose of the car under the exhaust outlet.
