OK, it's getting cold, so it's time to replace the heater core in the 72 Charger (with A/C). I think the original p/n is 3441180.
Doing a few searches brings back several different makers such as Proliant, Ready Aire, and Four Seasons. Any of those the best?
Any I should stay away from? Any experiences?
Thanks! JK (mity225@mchsi.com)

So.... where DID you find your evaporator core? Ive got a 70 Dart Swinger that came with factory A/C, and a 225 slant six. I hope to change the slant 6 for a small block, so am looking for ideas on keeping a factory A/C system going. Texas heat is a killer. Ive looked at the aftermarket systems, and really want to keep the a/c and heater plenums original. That evaporator core is my biggest issue to find. Please help? Thanks from a n0000bie. ---

Yep! I went with a Proliant one. It was for my brother-in-law's car. We have yet to install it. I checked the business I bought it from. While they list ones for a 70 Dart, it doesn't say whether it's for an A/C car or not. You should make sure the one you buy is listed for an A/C car since there is likely a difference. Good Luck! I replaced one in a Dart last year and in my Charger this year and I got them both from Auto Zone and they both went in with no problems. I hear some guys talk about fitment problems but I have not experienced it. Both were less than $50 each.
