I broke down and bought a set of bare heads and their valve train set of the new Pro Comp LA heads. The flow numbers are pretty decent and comparable, if not better than the Edelbrocks. I have a whopping $730 in these heads and couldn't be happier with the quality. The service on the other hand was really lacking. They sent the wrong spring cups and had to call 10 times to get the correct ones. I know I'm going to get some response back about them being "Made in China" but anyways here are the flow numbers OOTB with 2.05/1.60 valves. They are right in line with my ported RHS magnum heads. @28" Lift INT EXH .100 69.5 63.1 .200 130.4 103.4 .300 182.6 139.4 .400 227.5 164.2 .500 245.7 175.3 .600 252.3 180.2
Making sure I am reading this correctly, but your PORTED RHS heads, wont outflow these numbers you have posted? They SHOULD crush those numbers, but maybe I am not understanding something here...

Blew those #"s away with a set of
home ported 2.02 / 1.60 915 LA castings.
This all depends on who's bench it was on and if they were tested side by side....
I've seen more then one bench ready happy and the next be completely different.

There CNC version of anything is a waist of time. I talked to them about a year ago about a set of small block Chevy heads I had here for a customers engine. The guy said all they do is map a stock port and add .010 to it. Just enough to show they were CNC's all the way through.
I will look at the SBM heads for a budget 340 I am thinking about doing for my Dart.
That would be the first time I've heard that... most shops that CNC they do a hand porting based on the flow then read it to a CNC program.... but maybe that company does that crap

Maybe they should've stolen the design from a ported Edelbrock, not one OOTB.

Did you ever dyno the RHS motor,or better yet, what kind of ET and MPH did it run ?
I understand the differences in benches. Yours will be a good comparison because if the common bench. Since your in Pittsburg, why dont you run them over to John for a second comparison ( either head)
