I'm installing a Lenco 3 sp and Bruno in my 3600 lb Fury drag car. 520cid, ladder bars, 4.56 rear... what gear ratios should I use?

Lenco is great to deal with. Call them and ask.

At 3600# I would think you want a fairly steep 1st
gear to get that weight moving but I couldnt say how
much of a difference you would want for 2nd and I would
think you still want 1:1 in high gear.... best to
call them with all the stats on your car and engine

Todd,
Don't know if you've got your tranny yet, I'm getting ready to list a CS-2 3-speed, Bruno 6-spline input, 32-spline output, air shift-pods, 1.25 and 1.41 splits, 1.76 first gear, may be a tad too tall for your deal but with big motor, right convertor and 4.56, might not be that far off. Tranny in great shape, comes with Dennis Taylor nylon blanket, certed until April 2014. Ironically, I just came in from buttoning it up after checking it over, was going to list it on InsideTopAlcohol when I saw you post on here. I changed over to a Lencodrive 2-speed to save some weight and space in my altered or I would still be running it. If interested I can send some pics tomorrow.

The converter is the big deal with this set-up, as Ronnie or anybody else that runs them can tell you. You might want to look into one of the Pro Mod style Turbo 400's that are being built nowdays. Cheaper than the Bruno or Lencodrive set-ups.

I already have the Bruno and Lenco, just trying to figure out what gear sets I will need.

Looking at your profile, I see you've been running a TF in the Fury. If you're wanting similar ratios, you would need a 1.68% and 1.44% gearbox, that would give you a 2.42 first gear ratio. There are other combinations that will give you the same first gear, but you have to determine how much of a spread you want between 2nd and 3rd and then plug in the other ratios until you get the first gear you want. Not sure which Lenco (CS-1, CS-2)you have but here is link to all of the ratios available.

I have 31% and 44% right now and am looking at a 56%. The 56% and 44% would give me 2.25 low and 1.44 2nd gear. Cause I wasn't sure if I needed to have a 2.45 like a stock TF would have.

if your not using a power adder I would think you would want at least 2.50 first gear ratio with that weight.
