if any thing, lets peek at the true semi-first factory effort altered wheel base cars starting in 1964. I say "semi" because I believe the "High and Mighty" was the true first altered base car. Here's one of only four 2% cars made by the old Chrysler corporation. Two Dodges and two Plymouths.

Neat thread! OK, now I gotta ask - HAS ANYBODY EVER HEARD OF AN A/FX'er called the APPLE BLOSSOM? We had a chance to buy this car in Las Cruces, NM. back in the mid-80's. It was a stripped body shell with doors - no front clip & no suspension. I've posted about this car before here plus asked people I know about this car, & nobody has ever heard about it. As I recall, it was a '64 Plymouth Belvidere. I do have a picture of it somewhere & had scanned it several years ago, but can't locate it right now.

It may have been this car - I might be remembering the name incorrectly. Do you know if this car is still in existence or if somebody built it back up? The lettering looks the same - I think it was this car.
