I helped sell my cousins (idrivevintage) 1966 Coronet on ebay this past spring. Buyer was super excited about it, but didn't know which way he was going to go with it. I said I would throw a stroker motor in it since it already was a BB car and it already had good enough "patina" to make it a sleeper of sorts. Last I checked, it looked like this:

(edit:oops this would be just straight axle, I dont think he is messing with wheelbase actually. whoops)

I have always wanted to build an altered WB short box truck. I think it would look really neat, and be something different.

Wow HP 383, I like that!.....I have a 83 swb truck that needs the bedsides worked over bigtime anyway.......and a rb core engine.....and a dana 60.....hummmmmm....

Jamie, Bill (OldGoat) & I talked on the phone about this & figured that it would be easy to do
After I got off the phone then I figured a RC frame would make it easier to do

I say go for it!

I'm sure you will have to have a Lexan rear window, as it will probably need some bars ran from a roll cage to the rear frame to keep frame twisting d to a minimum.

Or as mentioned using a Ramcharger.

Either way I would love to have one someday.
