I just found out the trunk floor should be replaced on my 70 challenger and I want to use the AMD one piece panel but ive heard there is no way to get it in unless you remove 1/4 panels or tailpanel which I will not be doing.
whats the best solution/compromise?

I don't remember who it was but recently a thread was posted about removing the lower rear panel (the one behind the bumper) and slipping it up through there. Most of the spot welds have to be drilled to remove the trunk floor anyway. Maybe someone can find that thread? I've never tried it that way but next time I will.

It was easier to Google Moparts to find the link. Roll to the bottom of the post and there is the install as one piece with tail panel and quarters in place.

I used the AMD one piece floor and got it in. But if I remember correctly, we had the Dutchman panel and hinges off to do it. I think it was more of the hinges off more than the panel.

That is how I did mine. I have also heard you can remove the panel under the tail panel. Or get out the and cut it in two.

Remove the the lower panel that connects the rear frame rails. It doesn't look like it will fit but it slides in with a little patience. Rest the new panel on the frame rails and push up. car needs to be up on stands if i remember right. The initial angle is pretty steep until you clear the shock humps past the tail panel. It will go in no need to remove quarters. Mine is a 70 cuda. never did a challenger can't imagine it's any different.
