How much tire PSI? You've made good progress since your initial outings.

The tire actually looks pretty good. If you look at the tread does it appear that there is the same wear on the tire from the outside of the tread to the center?

Seems to be hitting the tires pretty good!

Comments??

Arnie

1st....AWESOME

Don't see a problem....sure you have played with the pressures.....if the 60's are dropping off you're most likely ready for a new set of tires....beats the sidewalls to death

10.5W-31 M/T tires with tubes,on 12" rims using 10.25psi.

Gears are 4.56's

I always struggle to control the wheelie and if i tighten it up and the track is good, I can run 1.18 to 1.19 sixty foots. however later in the afternoon, it may spin and run a 1.25 sixty and I lose the race...

I bought a power grid to use for next season and I can hit the tires then take out 8 degrees timing after .2 seconds (before the car actually moves) then ramp it back in by 1.8 seconds.

This slowed the car down to a 1.22 sixty foot, but repeated 4 run's in a row!

Next step is to try and ramp the power back in sooner say all in at 1.4 seconds and see what happens!

Cheers,

Arnie

It sounds like you are on the right track by dialing the power down to limit wheel spin. I would suggest changing the gear set to 4.30 or 4.10 or even a tighter converter, but what do I know? I have never been that fast in my wildest dreams

It can run 8.50's in decent air in the 1/4 at 156-157 mph, but Humidity was high this fall...

Cheers,
