I have a 68 Dart. I converted to front disks. I used parts from a 74 Dart. Everything works great but the tire / wheel combo that I want to use is too far outward. In otherwords, the tire is to close to the fender and the front tire tracks are farther apart than the rear tires. I am using 15 x 7 wheels with a 4 inch backspace. The 15 x 6 inch factory steel wheels also have a 4 inch backspace and look better on the car but are still a bit too close. I guess that the disk brakes put the wheel outwards more than the factory 10 inch drum brakes. So heres my dumb question:
Is there any other mopar control arm that is shorter in length than the one on my 68 Dart?
I'd like to move the whole assembly inwards 1-2 inches. Any ideas would be helpfull. Thanks.
Did these same exact tires and rims fit your old drum brake setup. I don't think so, since you changed from small pattern to large pattern.
The 73-76 large bolt pattern disk setup only move the wheels out about 1/4" to 3/8".
Do not change the lower control arm length. You will never get the car to align right. That is not the right way to fix your problem.
Get the correct backspacing rims and right size tires for your car.
You have too wide, too tall, and/or not enough backspacing rims. Or or a combination of those things.

Yeah, I now have the large bolt pattern. The 8-3/4 original rear was removed and I installed a shortened Dana 60 which also has the large bolt pattern. BTW car has a 440 with a Borg Warner overdrive 5 speed.
The original steel wheels were 14x5 with a 3 inch backspace.
Now the 15 X 7 wheels with a 4 inch backspace is just too wide. These wheels don't come with a 5 inch backspace. That would solve everything. In fact, I can't find any 15 X 7 wheels with a 5 inch backspace. These wheels are also not available in 15 X 6. That would also be somewhat better.
What tire size are you running up front? It is too tall or too wide.
I can fit 225/60/15 tires with 15x7 ralley/cop/mopar steel rims that have 4.25 backspacing with a 73-76 disk swap on a 68 Dart.
Is your current setup make the tire rub on the front bottom fender lip edge of the fender?
