... My car is a '70 so I believe Polished is correct for the 15" wheel but the chrome looks wrong. Thoughts? Thanks, Mike
FWIW, the parts book just says "chrome".

I'm ordering a "brushed" wheel vintiques trim ring from Summit to replace the "polished" to compare. I've also ordered a set from LMC Truck based on the feedback in the above thread from 2012. I'll report back and post some pics of the differences. Thanks everyone... Mike
Great! It will interesting to see how they compare.

OK, after having the Wheel Vintiques Brushed and Polished versions in front of me with the set from LMC truck I decided to keep the LMC truck ones. The wheel vintiques Polished ones looked like cheap chrome, the coloring didn't look "right" and they lacked the final "body line" where the trim ring changed from the edge going down toward the center of the wheel. Their Brushed ones also lacked the "body line" detail and looked like they were sanded with 100 grit paper. BOTH of the wheel vintiques rings also had very poor definition of the stamped ridge at the outer lip... like the die used to stamp them had problems. The LMC parts had that last bodyline stamped in which was just a radius in the WV parts, the lines of the stamping were crisp and not deformed like the WV parts and the coloring was a little better, IMO. They're not perfect, but they were closer than the others. Now; I'll throw a monkey wrench into the works. A friend of mine bought repro rallys and trim rings from WV several years back. His trim rings, in WV boxes, look like LMC stampings, with the extra, last bodyline in it. I tried capturing the coloring and definition of the stamping with my phone camera but was unable to do so.

these sold a few nights ago - I missed them - http://r.ebay.com/DgsBCO good price I thought...
not a bad price for factory 6 1/2" trim rings... correct factory 7 inch ones would be plenty more.
