After more than 2 years I finally got my new heads, intake, pistons and cam in my block and got it back in the car and to the track.
It's 415 ci now with W9's and a 420 intake

It really surprised me with what it ran with the heat we had Saturday in the same weather the old engine would have ran 5.38-5.40 in the 1/8th.
The first pass on this new stuff was a 5.23 then it settled on a 5.21 at 131.77

It used to weigh 2420 but it's a little heavier with these headers and a different center section and a few little things added. it now weighs 2490.
It has a Glide and 5.13 rear gears.

Thanks

And J Body...I hope these stay on here for a very long time

Impressive good work.
I got to say I would have been happy with your old times, that's quite an achievement.
Care to share any more info on your engine, suspension?

That is a great looking engine compartment, care to share some more photos, chassis, etc?

Nice job..

Does it still wheelie like in that pic, or have you toned it down some?

The engine is a 4.200 bore w/3.75 stroke and a 6" rod
Heads and intake are ported by Larry Meaux
LSM cam, Diamond pistons

The rear suspension is home made 4 link w/ Santhuff coil overs and the front has a stock K-member I modified for a Pinto rack and Santhuff coil overs.

I sanded and re-painted everything while the engine was out but didn't take any new pics.

I calmed it down some, a little weight up front does a lot.

Thanks guys

I cant wait for a little cooler weather to see what it will do then.
