A motorhome 440 with a steel crank, I don't think so

74 was the first year the 440 was listed for MH use
On the other hand MH 413 uses a steel crank & rods comparable to the 440+6 with the only difference being bobwieght as it appears

My 73' 270 had a 413 steel & the 75' 270 that replaced it had a cast 440
I love Travcos too! Ahead of their time!

1974 was a transition year for Dodge going from the H.D. 413 motors in the larger M.H. and trucks to the 440-3 motors in the same year and chassis units. I've seen forged steel cranks with the H.D. six pak rods in 440-3 cast blocks and assembled in 1974 I've also seen the same series motors with cast cranks and dampeners in 1974 vehicles

My 73 Winny might have been a late one for 73 but it had a steel crank 440 with timing gears and a thermoquad. Sounded like it had a blower.
