I just picked up a shell and clamp for my 70 'Cuda PN2932727 or so it should be, and after disassembly and cleaning I decided to test it . . . but with the barrel shown at the right of the photo (seems to be an isolator of sorts), I cant seem to get continuity . . . no matter the scenario, lighter in or just jumping from the stud to the retainer inside the shell.

So I check with a buddy who has several 'Cudas (one since new) and he says his don't have that on the back of the shell. So now I unscrew the thingy on the right, and with the lighter depressed )like I want to light one up, I get continuity.

So what is this thing and who uses it??

OK, since I posted this thing, heres the answer in the event someone else see's this . . . apparently its a 50-60's Ford resettable breaker for a lighter . . . Poking around e-bay helped me to find this;

So now my question is changing to questions on the shell and clamp;
Pictures from an original 70 'Cuda as well as dimensions and finish would be appreciated.

By the way, that Knurled knob is incorrect, should be smooth on a 1970
