Anyone know how wide a slick I can fit under a stock body 64 Dodge Polara ?? 8 3/4 rear..without using the spring kit....stock suspension ,,more for show than go...just want the widest tire to fit there..Yes I know I can measure it but the car is 100 miles away from here and I want to bring the tires and wheels with me..thanks

I was running M&H 30x 10.5 x 15s on my 65 B body.They are pretty much the same body.Rocky

30 x10.5 would be max. Wheel tubs will fit larger tire width just the front of the spring limits it. You really need to look at the section width of the tire 13.5 would be max section width. Of course that varies with manufacturer and tire design!

Mine were close.I might have been able to go 11 but never measured.I run almost 11.5 Mickeys on the rear now.It has a wider 69 rear in it now.To get them fully under the car I need 6 1/2 BS on my wheels.Ill have to inboard the springs though.Rocky

I put 275/60R15 T/A Radials on 15x10 Americans under my Polara. I got the wheels and tires first, did the measuring then cut a Dana 60 to fit. I did not move the springs and had plenty of clearance. The pictures I have are too big to post, but if anyone needs one send me a PM and include your e-mail address.

I run 15x7 stock steel wheels with M&H 275/60/15 drag radials with a Dana 60 rearend. Stock everything, everything fits. Couldn't go much wider before the tires would rub the qtr panels. Car is a 64 Plymouth Fury.
