Even Googlizing the crap out of it a thousand different ways produced almost zero results. It's a ball joint adapter tool C-4034. I can't even find a picture of it except a crude illustration in the FSM. Do I even really need it?

Some of the older ball joints had more of a dome shape on top, thus the reason for a deep well socket. Otherwise the standard depth socket will work on most.
So 1976 OEM's should be.............?

From the FSM:
"Lower Ball Joints. Installation: (1) Press in new ball joint into lower control arm using assembled Tool C-4212. (2) Place a new seal over ball joint with Adaptor Tool C-4034 and press retainer portion of seal down on ball joint housing until it is securely locked in position."

Looks like it's just a SLEEVE that is open on one end and closed , except for a centering hole on the other end used to push the seal in place and clearing the ball joint.
You could probably use a piece of PVC or pipe of the appropriate size and the seal into place ????
