I am changing my mopar performance dual plane out for a performer rpm on my 400 and wandering if I need to remove and reseal the valley pan or can I leave it alone? (about 1,000 miles on rebuilt motor) Do I need to use sealent on the paper gasket between valley pan and intake?

I would plan on resealing/replacing the valley pan. Chances are you will break the seal between the pan and the heads somewhere causing a vacuum leak. Depending how much sealant is on the pan, you may even end up bending the pan so I would just go ahead and have an extra one on hand just in case. $14 isn't too much to spend so you don't have to pull the intake twice to get it to seal...ask me how I know.

I don't use the paper gaskets at all. I just use the copper RTV on both sides of the pan and call it a day.

I don't use the paper gaskets either. I've had the intake off mine a total of 3 times...same gasket...no problems.

I used a felpro 1215 for my 440/RPM intake.

used some gasket tack on the pan side of gaskets only.

I have R&R the intake 2x now and the gaskets stay put stuck to the pan.

get the felpro HP valley pan for the B engine with heat block off/4 paper gaskets.
