What is the correct size Road Wheels for my Lynch Rd built '69 Super Bee 383/4spd? I know the car had 14s on it but should they be 5.5, 6, 7 inches wide? Thanks

14x5.5" (all* 383 4bbl & 440 4bbl '69 MOPAR b-body musclecars had 14x5.5" wheels)

* except for the few that were originally OPTIONED with the infamous 15x6.0" "recall" wheels

Are not 383 4bbl or 440 4bbl '69 MOPAR b-body's...

I went brain dead and couldn't remember what wheels the A12s had. Instead of trying to clean litter boxes AND post, I should have done one or the other and not used shorthand.....

Thanks for the info guys. I was pretty sure it was 5.5 but I wasn't completely positive. Now I just need to find a set at a reasonable price.

Justin,

Don't forget that the 69 Road Wheel used a one year only trim ring that attached with 4 clips to the outside edge like a wheel weight would. It also had a little lip where the spoked part of the rim met the trim ring.

They are also not all chrome. They are a two piece wheel outside is just black metal.

That is the correct wheel posted by Mike but a replacement trim ring.
As Brian stated above 1969 trim ring is very unique and a 1 year piece.

Interesting! I didn't know this. So let me make sure that I'm understanding this right... the '69-only trim ring actually hooks over the edge of the wheel instead of using the sharp teeth that scratch the inside of the wheel? Do you have a close-up picture of the backside of the trim ring?

As for the wheel itself... other than the date stamps, are they the same as other year model Road Wheels?

Correct (1) and incorrect (2) rings. See how the 69 ring has a slight 'lip' or overhang in the center circle?

1968 had the chrome outer part with no trim ring. Im pretty sure that 69 and up road wheels were all similar in the fact that they used a trim ring (69 - one year only as stated before) and had the rims painted black with the only thing being shiny was the satin chrome on the spoked part of the rim.

As for trying to find the 69 only trim rings, that is hard. I have actually started stock piling them and plan on restoring them when I get a chance to. They can be restored but area a major pain to do.
