Going with 11 inch rear drums on a 8.75 and was wondering if any other rear axles with 11 inch drums will fit the 8.75 (9.25,8.25,Dana 60,ect).

I used 11" Brakes from a 8-3/4 C-body wagon on a dana 60& fit fine. My 9-1/4 B-Body looked the same but didnt actually try to switch them

As long as you keep the correct drums with the correct backing plates they will interchange. Had a guy tell me all 11" C body stuff was junk. He was trying to use 11x2 B Body backing plates with 11x2.5 drums. Another 20 yr old know it all....

11" drum/backing plates from an 8 1/4" rear will also work on an 8 3/4.

As long as your not putting them on an A body 8-3/4.
8-1/4, 8-3/4, 9-1/4, DANA, all should interchange.
I've even used F body 7-1/4 rear brakes on an 8-3/4.

Switching to bbp on a 8.75,I have 8.75 11in backing plates. So will only 8.75 drums work with my backing plates? Or do they all interchange?

Are you changing axles?
A body 8-3/4's have a couple unique characteristics...backing plate offset, drum flange, center register, etc.

A Body 8 3/4 housing? A body backing plates won't work, you will need a set of B,C, or E body. You need to know which 11" backing plates you have to get the correct drums.

If they were together on a C body and you change the bolt pattern on the A body to bbp you shouldn't have any issues.

So a 7-1/4 setup from an ebody would work on a 8-3/4? If so I need to pull the brake setup before the junk man hauls it off.

They should fit.

I never scrap brakes unless they are worn out.
At least a dozen sbp and lbp sets on the shelves.

I think I may have confused everyone, what I have is a 8.75 and am wondering if 11inch drums from any other mopar axle will work on it. Or do they only work with there own backing plates, shoes, hardware, ect?

Brake drums are not specific to the axle. If you have 11 x 2 1/2" backing plates, you can run any '65 and newer Mopar 11 x 2 1/2" drum with the same bolt pattern.
