just had my "race" engine re-built as a street pump gas engine..
had the Comp Cams Roller re-ground (smaller) and the com cams roller lifters are their HD ones....
the engine's first pull was about 670hp with over 650 lbs.ft....was rich and still climbing past the 7200rpm that is was shut off....so with a good tune and some break in, it should be a 700+hp pump gas engine and live well on the street..
Midwest Engine Tech built my engine..if you want the specs, and if they are will to give them to you, give them a call..ask for Scott..

When I had a cam made up for my motor I called Bullet cams. I told them it would see 95% street driving and wanted a solid roller with some lobes that didn't beat the valvetrain to death. I turn wrenches for a living and don't want to be changing valve springs everytime I turn around. I couldn't be happier, it may be down a couple hp but it's next to zero maintanence. The cam specs are .767/.676, 288/292@.050 on a 113 center. I have the idle set at about 1200rpm.Dave

My 440 has appox. 2500 miles on it and the SB has over 5000 street miles and appox. 40 1/4 passes at the drag strip. I drive the SB car back and forth to work[24 mile round trip] I have made a round trip to Vegas and back and last September I did Hot Rod dragweek. This summer I hope to make a 6000 mile trip with the SB car. Make sure you buy very good lifters,valve springs,and rockerarms.

I had a sb with almost exactly the same amount of miles. Sold the motor, but lifters were still in great shape as well as springs. Guides were still okay as well.

The key to make a solid roller cam live on the street is to use more spring pressure than needed to start with, it will lose some, and buy rhe best solid roller lifters you can get And plenty of oil, pressure oil to the rollers and axles is preffered I had two of the Mopar brand solid roller lifters break the wheels in half, I swapped them out after the second one I have Crowers Ultra liftes in one motor, Bullits in another motor and two sets of Crane race (best ones they sell) lifters on the shelf. I also have a set of the Comp Camd AMC lifters for oiling through the pushrods for a motor that will have a set of Jesel rocker arms that require either spray bar oiling or pushrod oiling, or both Buy the best oil you can get also and change two or three times a year, cut the filters apart and look for debris Check the lifters at the end of each year, take them all out and feel the rollers for roughness, replace or have them rebuilt when rough Another thing is the roller wheel diameter, buy the big ones

The block I have in my street rod/drag week car is not bushed... I have it idling at 800 but I went with the EDM hole on the lifters to supply added oil to the roller... I believe I will UP the spring pressure by another 30# to give me 280# on seat... I think its starting to bound the lifters at 6700 rpm(with 250#) but it could just be the cam ran out

What brand of spring are you running with that bullet roller?
Just wondering how it compares to mine spring wise?

I'm using K Motion 950's, 245 on the seat (2.00), [Email]720@1.250.[/Email] I know some people don't like these springs but they've been holding up fine for me. Of course I don't have to rev the motor to the moon either, hp peak is at 5800rpm (605ci). Valve train is supposed to be stable to 7800, I had my 528ci up there a couple times. I could get my 605 to idle around 1000rpm easily but what's 200 rpm.Dave

I just put some miles on my first roller setup. I have comp 828 lifters, erson rockers, and K-800 springs. I put about 2500 miles on it over a year and 1500 of them were on drag week. I just recently tore it down and everything looked really good. The roller wheels all roll smooth and free and I am putting them back in. The kicker with mine is that the oil is blocked off to the lifters so they just oil off of the drain back from the rockers. I keep my idle at 1000-1200 and the rockers oil full time so there is plenty of oil up there. I was a little nervous about how it would look on tear down but the valvetrain all looked great. Did this for 5 days

The best rocker arms are something like jesel pro steel rocker arms but as far as I know they do not sell them for BB mopars. T&D or jesel makes a good Aluminum rocker. Yes you will need a cam button and it is a good idea renforce the timing chain cover.
