Well the 8 1/2" that I have now are 4 1/2" bs the 10" will be 5 1/2" bs I will make room for the 30".The 29" is close real close. I will get the 10" I may get 10.5s later.~~bentwheel

Are saying you could use a 9x30 tire on a 12" rim?
It really doesn't matter whether you win or lose… as long as you look good doing it!

I hope the 9" hold the car with the 511" it has SD intake, eddy head,850 holley. It will be 50# lighter on the front-a fiberglass hood, mini starter,2 135x15r tires on 4" rims it had 6"rims and tires. The 10"x29 that I have is 91.5" rollout worked good but the 9"x30 rollout is 94" maybe will work better with 456 gear. Dose anyone run in the high 9s on 9" tires.

I don't know about high 9s, but I have a buddy that has a 72 Duster that has SS springs and 28x9 rear slicks, and he just ran a 10.23 at Milan two weeks ago.

The 10"rims sound better and better for 9x30 tires,I think I will try the radials thay are a few different sizes wonder what is the best for a big block?

its at least a 10 inch wheel, maybe even 12, like Cab suggested.

not low 9's..but here's a pic of my car. im using 30x9 Hoosiers radial slicks and a 10 inch wheel. 3550# 60ft 1.4x's. the radials are great on a well prepped track, not so great on marginal tracks. they were over .10 in et better than my bias-ply slicks, and they are much more stable at the big end. we run around 18.5 lbs of air pressure.
