11.87 at 112 mph in a 3700# cuda. 440 + .040", Ross flattops (pumpgas), 906s w/ a 3 angle valve job, 509/292 purpleshaft, Edelbrock performer rpm, 830 holley, 3.91 gears and TCI 10" streetfighter converter (around 3500 stall).
CHIP '70 hemicuda, 575" Hemi, 727, Dana 60 '69 road runner, 440-6, 18 spline 4 speed, Dana 60 '71 Demon, 340, low gear 904, 8.75 '73 Chrysler New Yorker, 440, 727, 8.75 '90 Chevy 454SS Silverado, 476" BBC, TH400, 14 bolt '06 GMC 2500HD LBZ Duramax

1967 B-body, 1967 440 standard bore with six pack pistions 10.5 to 1, 590 soild lift mopar cam, Tm7 intake 850 holley, 4.10 gears, 3000 stall, manual shift, 906 heads with valve job, weight was 3780 with me in it went 11.56 @ 120mph, switched to 915s with valve job and went 11.19 best @ 125 mph.

1974 duster (2600#) 727 with J converter TRW pistons app 13.2 comp .030 over stock bushed, shot peened, and polished rods. direct connection bolts. stock crank stock 906 heads 750 roller cam 286 duration 4.56 gear 14-31 goodyear slick super stock springs (2) 750 holleys tunnelram many many years ago ran 10.20's 9.82 with ported 906 heads

You mean those "not ported" "not acid-etched" $5000-up 906 heads?? Those are the farthest from untouched heads there are...

Yes it was and I still have a couple of them with different centerlines sitting on the shelf.
My old motor had the R280 in it but was a bit of a dog because it lacked comp and converter. What RPM did you turn. I've got a rusty 286 I use to prop my garage door open. i bet yours sounded pretty good, certainly a good running combo. Mick
