Saturday in the semi's as I grabbed second gear the car laid over, shook pretty violently, made some real bad noises and died. Pulled off the side of the track, not leaking anything, steam coming out of my tail pipe. Went back to the pits pulled the plugs, #2 wasn't gonna come out, that's not good, lets pull the valve cover. Here is what I found Manley valve stem .....continued

Here is a the history of the car/engine. All new this season. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Racer&Number=7258607Trying to find a high point to all of this; I'm thankful the carnage stayed internal and that the car or myself weren't hurt. My wallet on the other hand The cause is TBD, Had about 150 runs on it, always had good oil pressure. It wont turn over in either direction (shocking) and its still in the car so I can't pull the pan. I snapped the pictures and walked away for the night. I will probably work on it again tomorrow and get ready to pull it out of the car. See if the heads can be fixed ETC.

Dustin, I'm really sorry to see that kind of carnage, it is FUBARED I've broke some parts over the years but nothing like yours is, broken valve heads in Hemi motors, rolled rod bearings over and ended up breaking the rods, had a forged OEM M.W. piston come apart(bottom of piston broke off at the wrist pin, major carnage) about 100 ft. from the finish line at Pomona in 1984 Winternationals, not a good day ) Yours looks a lot worse Let us know what you find, sometimes it is easy to find the root cause and sometimes it isn't easy at all Good luck Glad your not hurt and the car isn't bent
