Im looking for a little help on getting my pulleys to line up correctly. I have a 440 with a Fluidampr installed on it. I've never had a motor with anything but a stock balancer on it. My motor is being finished up this week, and now im concerned my pulleys will not line up. Im currently running a 2 groove crank pulley, single groove alternator and power pump pulley. What do I need to do to make this set up work.

Thanks

another balancer .....

You will probably want to start with a 69 - 71 hemi lower pulley and go from there, once you wake up after pricing them you'll see the ... another balancer ... option is the better choice .

That said I had a fluidampner but it had a recessed face and worked with stock B/RB pulleys .

Check and see what's the p/n of the Fluidampr. I believe the one I used is p/n 712425 which was not recessed. The newer FD #720311 appears to be recessed and may work with your existing pulleys. IIRC the hemi pulleys work with the non-recessed FD but don't quote me.

you might look at these http://marchperf.com/pg45.html or http://marchperf.com/pg46.html

I used the small block set for a fluidamper before.(never used one on a big block) You can buy the pulleys seperately but they don't list them on their web page.

Hi my name is Ivan and I work for Fluidampr. This damper is 20+ years old and was designed for a particular race application. As stated, we do offer a newer design with a recessed face and should work with your pulley configuration.

Since you have the old version, we are offering the opportunity to receive the new version at a discounted price. Please email me at ivan.snyder@fluidampr.com or call 716-592-1000 and ask for Ivan.

The following is a customer drawing which gives key dimensions and will allow you to determine if it is correct for your application.

I bought the flat faced fluidampr last winter from a gentleman after I already bought pullies and found out the same thing. Lucked out and found a march pulley from another guy on eBay.

Hi Guys and maybe Gals,

I have received emails and private messages from a few of you. I beleive I responded to all with details on exchanging the old style Mopar Fluidampr for the new version with recessed face.

If I missed anyone or you would like information about this or you have any questions about Fluidampr product, again, please feel free to email me ivan.snyder@fluidampr.com or call 716-592-1000 and ask for Ivan.

Thanks!

Ivan
