2005 Grand Caravan. Does anyone have a picture or know where on the top of the gas tank the fuel pump is located? I am being pro-active and need to get this accomplished because the pump is getting noisy. I would like to cut a hole in the floor of the van to access the fuel pump instead of dropping the tank. I could then fabricate a nice looking removable access cover for future issues. If I knew approximately where it was located I could keep the access hole size to a minimum. Is this just dumb or does it sound reasonable?

You will have to drop tank to cut the hole safely Why bother? Job easier done on rack but not really hard to do by any means

u would need to peek under there..on a 96-2000 vans the tank just has to drop about 1-2 inches to get to the unit...might be the same for yours ..google it....

Those tanks are pretty easy to drop down. would be more work to cut a hole than its worth

If you have access to a hoist it would be a piece of cake. I changed the pump out in our '95 Grand Caravan on jackstands and it wasn't a big deal as I recall.
