Sounds like you experts are getting to the bottom of Mark's Miata AC issue, so I want to jump and ask this- my 2008 Avenger 2.4 has the electrical plug damaged on the front of the compressor. Is there a diagram that shows which plug pin goes to what color wire (2 pins only)? And, since the whole thing is damaged but the 2 pins on the compressor are still there, can I simply solder the wires on directly, then pot the whole area in sealant and call it good until some serious AC work is needed?

Thanks!

Fun morning junk-yarding today! I didn't find ANY late model Avenger/Sebring/Caliber/Patriot/Compass, and only one PT cruiser, but I was able to snatch 3 sets plugs that MAY work on this AC compressor. Now, my question is- what wire goes to which pin? Does anyone know, or can someone with the same car just take a look please?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think it matters.
I used a late model compressor on my 65 coronet and just wired one to power and the other to ground.
