The resto coil from Mopar performence is discontinued and i haven't found any one who still has one in stock. After reading this post i'm glad i didn't find one and spend the money. Right now i have the stock repo restoration coil with chrome box with .25 ohm resistor and blue race regulator. car runs great. I know a lot of people will say not to use the blue regulator on the street but i've been useing them for years with no problems. But i will admit i don't go on 300 mile road trips either. Not much choise when trying to stay stock looking.
What is stock looking about the blue race regulator?

Keith - By any chance have you tested the old style Accel Supercoil with a chrome box? Uglyest coil on the planet but seems to work just fine.
What ballast resistors are you using in your testing? Sometimes different coil and ecu combos like different resistors.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Not that you ever have anything good to say about anything it's not stock looking. I'm not a numbers matching concours correct guy. I just like to keep them as stock looking as i can. A holley Street dominatot and holley carb aren't stock either but with intake painted engine color it still has a stock apperence. I'd be amazed John if i ever saw you say anything positive about anything on here. You allways have to bad mouth or talk down every post.
i don't think that's where he was going with his question. there is a MSD blaster coil that is black and all you have to do is peel off the label and you have 'stock appearing'. my car is far from stock but i do try a little to make thing under the hood sorta stockish.

The black Mopar performence version of the blaster coil is discontinued. I checked every retail outlet i could think of nobody had one left in stock. I wnated one for my car.
this would work nicely - http://www.msdignition.com/Products/Coils/Race/8222_-_High_Vibration_Blaster_Coil.aspx - i'll be getting one in the near future.
this is the one I run in the Dart , it wasn't made in china when I bought it many years ago , .... can't remember if I bought it in '05 or '99 ??? .... now ?
