HEY, MY LA ENGINE WENT SOUTH. I WOULD LIKE TO PUT IN A 2000 5.9 MAGNUM USED ENGINE IN MY 71 DART. I SEE FLEX PLATES OFFERED UP TO 1999. TO BOLT TO MY 727 WITH A NEUTRALLY BALANCED CONVERTOR. I KNOW THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE INFO UP TO 1999. IS THE 2000 YEAR MOTOR A DIFFERENT ANIMAL? WILL THIS ENGINE BOLT UP?

The support systems are where you are going to spend some time. Cooling and fuel. A 71 should have the same pump inlet as the magnum, but the new motor runs hotter and will probably require a bigger/better radiator. You will probably need a shroud to go along with the magnum fan.

don't forget you will have to run a electric fuel pump unless you bolt the adapter on the front of the cam to bolt the fuel pump eccentric on!
