just wondering, bought a set from a member and flow sheet was 385 at .700, thought that was a killer number for a -1.
Any ideal on who ported them to get those #'s?

Mine originally flowed 378 at .700 and I think 380 at.800. I had 2.30 intake valves put in and saw a five to six percent jump in flow, (399 cfm at .800) but ZERO gains. there was a dip in flow around .400 that may account for part of the lack of gain. The heads flow about the same as before at that point. I wouldn't worry so much about the ultimate numbers as I would how fast guys are going with them. That is a much better bench mark. My best ET/mph was before the 2.3 valve mods, with a 280/288/110 cam with .765 intake lift. I put a 283/296/112 cam in with .775 lift and got very little if any improvement. -1 heads are about all done somewhere around 850 to 900 hp, depending on build.

Rightly or wrongly I look at average flow from .200 to .600 to compare heads. You are right too many people get hung up on peak .700 or .800 numbers when they aren't runnning enough cam or rpms for that number to matter IMHO.

I would try and copy the engine that the heads come off of as close as possible. Also might be a good idea to find out what converter & gear ratio he was using. PS It's nice to see more Mopars showing up in AlaBama!!!

N/A my 557ci made 955hp (Methanol injection)w/ 345cc CNC'd -1's that flow 382 at .800 these are Jeff's from Modern's program. Cam is .875" (less lash and deflection)so i am opening them up as far as reasonable Car weighs 2,850 and at 4,000 foot DA ran 8.80's, but there is more left in the combo... If you want more than that N/A you need a better head IMO. Cheers, Arnie

I thought so. People often forget to mention the power adders.
Yeah and people forget to say that their 2300lb chassis car can't run 8.30'S n/a either let alone drive it down to the local drive in legally if wanted to....I never see anyone running down your daytona chassis car because it's not super fast,so why do you jump at every chance to run down power adder cars Sorry for the hyjack to OP...
Power adders are todays racing!! Just the way it is. When the street cars are a full second or two faster than dedicated race cars what option is there? Index class or get with the rest (Non Mopar)people as that is what they are doing. Iam still trying to figure out why the forum on here was done away with. Dont matter what (Mopar Type head) you buy,You wont compete with the rest all out.Weight? doesnt seem to matter as much when you see 3800 Lbs cars running 7.30's same as the pipe racks, now does it? Twin Turbo's Heck yes your 1's will be faster than the rest !
