that should work, just looks kind of wild, stuck out there like that. but nobody is going to look at it anyway.

cant really see one of my lines but it humps up in the middle.

If it is losing prime when it sits it has a problem in the supply side of the system that is allowing it to lose the prime, its sucking air instead of oil on start up Air is way thinner than oil so the oil pump will suck the easest fluid it can I have fought that demon several times, it can be fixed My 527 motor has sat a long time(4+ months) between dyno tests, it primes immeadeatly(SP?) every time I prime it before going to the dyno BTW, it is a dual line system with the Milidon adapter spacer for the second line, another place for it to suck air

If your using a stock k-member, you might run into some clearance issues. Kinda hard to tell from the pics. Might consider running the hose straight up from the pan and then loop into the back side of the pump. There might be enough hose to do that without using the 180 degree hose end. Just a thought.. Good Luck!

I ran mine like this for several years, and never once had a priming problem at start up. Instant oil pressure, no matter how long it sat.

this is how I did mine first

not sure if the loop around the oilpump is restricting oil the way I have it now

anyway I ordered a new indy oilpump for it

lost oil presure 20 pounds took the motor apart and spun number 2 main bearing

the milidon cover is in bad shape bearing material did damage to it

relief valve is stuck , mabey I shouldnt have done the oiline that way , dont know for sure what / why it happened

I went with the indy cover instead of the milidon ,I trust the indy cover

I do have a charlies 10 quart oilpan that I cut up and made it 7 inches deep instead of 8 inhes that it is

its at the machine shop now damaged it backing the car in the garage

and I hit the curb
