I have a Torque converter that I picked up. Guy I bought it from said it stalled about 3300 behind his Small block 727 trans.

I cant find any numbers on this wondered if yall might be able to help?

the numbers when you google them just brings up the info on the ring gear which leads me to believe its just for the ring gear. Also if you look at the engine side it looks nothing like a stock converter.

Ive tried googling the first part of the number and I only get info on the ring gear. I'm not sure how to google the rest of the numbers. and I know the RG130 is for Ring Gear 130 tooth. I don't believe its stock either it is a 10" converter. When I bought it the guy said he thought it was a Coan. But I have called them and they have never done there converters in orange or red shade. And it doesnt appear to be repainted. I bought this when I first got into cars a few years ago and the seller didnt offer up much info. Getting closer on my build and this remains a question mark.

Ive been on a bodies. Ive seen the post from Billytuffnuts. Again the numbers on the ring gear are for the ring gear part number. http://www.sonnax.com/product-lines/torque-converter/parts/129 appears to be a sonnax part number.

Nope, look at the first pic; the front shell has 6 drive lug flats which are common to the small 9.5-10" GM converters (Geo)...definitely aftermarket.

What are you counting? I count 8? Talking about the flats on the front/engine side right?

OOPS!! Going blind. The 8 flats makes it a 10" Ford Capri or such, still definitely not Mopar.

Sure, it's FOR a Mopar but it's not factory Mopar. The shells that are used for small Mopar converters are pirated form other makes.

Yeah I get what your saying. Even if it doesnt stall at the 3200 range like he said it did behind his small block. But its going behind a 440 so that should boost stall. just be nice to know what I got.
