There's at least two ways that I know about. Drill and ream the stock valve guides to a 0.500" ID hole, then press in the 0.502" OD guide of your choice. You could even go to 5/16" or 8mm stems, which would be pretty ordinary and would save you valve weight. You can also insert bronze liners into your existing guide holes which seems to be pretty widely accepted. You may have to ream the guide first to establish a cylindrical guide, then insert then push a ball of the right size through the guide to expand the liner into the guide. Look at the www.goodson.com catalog to see tools for both of these methods. R.

If the RPM and spring pressure are moderate, you can drop the intake down to 5/16" and pick up some CFM.

That's so funny!!! Do you just WAIT there in your trailer for these golden moments, or do you have a life?
Let's play it the other way next time: YOU say something, and I say you're wrong.

If I were to install 11/32" stem sized 2,14" and 1,81" valves on a set of cast iron OEM mopar big block heads....
which bronze valve guides would I have to use? and where do I get them?
I am asking because I need to do this myself down here in Peru and I need to get the right parts.
thanks
D
Just sitting here in my trailer ...
Do they make stock length valves in that stem size ?
