Its hard for me to know what to say. I only knew Gary thru this site, but I feel like that was as close as knowing him in person. I feel his loss the same as if he had lived here in town and I saw him every day.

We are, all of us, diminished, by the loss of a friend. But we move on, knowing that he touched us in some small way, and made our lives better for it.

In the words of a good friend "Clonestocker", I would like to believe that our maker needed him somewhere else in a more important capacity, and called him home.

Rest In Peace Gary

Another who never met Gary but always enjoyed his posts. Seems personality can shine thru even on a web board.

Just watching the outpouring of emotion from those who DID know him speaks volumes.

I know this has had me in a sad state for a whole day, Can't stop thinking about him.

I just don't know what else to say, I think it all been said already. I'm gonna go hug my wife now.

RIP, UNLAWFL

I've put off saying anything for over a day now because I just didn't know how to put my feelings to words (I still don't). I, too, am a police officer and I was fortunate to meet Gary (seems strange to call him "Gary"...he'll always be "Unlawfl" to me) a few years ago on Brice Rd. (back when the Chally was still green & silver) and had seen him a couple of times since then at the Moparts cookouts.
About four years ago, I went through a terrible time in my life. The friendships and helpful words of "Unlawfl" and some of the others on the board helped me through the difficult times (BTW, still happily married and having a 2nd baby next month). In one of the threads, everyone pitched in together to get me a computor so I could stay on the Moparts board. I printed up that thread and kept it ever since, just to look back and remember everyone's kindness. I think Gary's family would appreciate seeing all of the kind words that are being said about him here on Moparts.
Words cannot describe how saddened I am over his family's loss. My biggest fear as a police officer is leaving my children without a father. There is so much evil in this world that our children need the guidance of good parents. My prayers go out to Gary's family. May his family truly feel God's presence and comfort now. Gary...Unlawfl, thank you for the difference that you made in this world with your life; in your community, in your family, and here. You have spent your few years here on Earth wisely. You will be greatly missed!

I am shocked as well as saddened. I never met Gary, but felt like I too knew him from reading all his posts. We never know when our time on earth is over. It's times like this, when I question why society puts sports figures and actors on such high pedistals, when it's the men and woman of our police and fire departments (and let's not forget our soldiers), who put their lifes on the line everyday to protect and help us! My prayers go out to Gary's family in their time of sorrow. Gary will be missed by all!

I too am in shock....my jaw literally fell open.

Don't really know what to say, but I wanted to say something...

While I'm mostly a lurker, and do not know anyone on this board personally, the internet has brought screen names and car pictures into my sphere of aquantainces. It is a shame and a loss, and my family extends our deepest sympathies and condolences to Gary's family and to everyone who knew him.

Be careful everyone, and tell everyone that you love that you do whenever you can.

I think this board, and the world has suffered a great loss, and will not ever be the same...

Again, our condolences.

We all know the feeling of losing a good friend. My thoughts and condolences to this board family and the Family of Gary Davis. For each of you, it's a good time to have this board family to lean on. Take the time right now to value and appreciate the friendships you all have with all those who remain here. May the memories of Gary draw you all closer together. I am so sorry for your loss!!

I'll keep Gary's family in my prayers. Anytime you lose a friend or a loved one is hard, but to lose one so suddenly and so young is tragic. I was scrolling through some threads and there was his last post. It was eerie knowing the man who had written it was gone. I know God needed him or he wouldn't have called him home. God's speed Gary, you'll be missed.

wow what a thing to see on here after being off it for awhile. I got back on to post on my post about my son being born on the 10th and see this. I didn't know Gary in person but knew of him on here and knew it was his challenger on the cover and just knew him that way. That is so sad. I lost my mom on the 29th of march and we had cars in the funeral. That is they way she wanted it and that is the way Gary would too.

RIP Gary RIP good man!
