just put a customer/friends 68 roadrunner back together after it sheared the crank woodruff key and bent a bunch of valves 440 stroker,511 ci,10.3:1,eddy heads pocket ported by Dwayne Porter,TTI 2" headers 3" pipes,6 pack induction with jettable outer carbs had a custom comp ft solid 247/251@050 , 549/556 gross lift with 1.5 rockers,114 lobe separation running lean,nearly 14:1,it made only 406RWHP - auto 4200 stall i recommended a cam swap while apart,Lunati Voodoo 251/259@050 , 566/586 gross.014 lash,110 lobe separation plus jetted up the outer carbs. what do you see for gains,i will have it on the chassis dyno this Friday afternoon. Greg the owner is not into an all out power,is street driven it has gone 11.44,did this at 114 plus change, best with mph in the 115-116 i have also thought of this cam for my engine but will probly go a little larger though it is good to try it out to see how it performs certainly sounds the goods thoughts

Dennis - wow you are optimistic,i wish Deaks - this was about what i thought,low 20's and hopefully in the teens. may need some suspension work from this point car weighs about 3855lbs with Greg in it Tex

If your talking the same cubes & just a cam change after fixing the engine or is this a new build?? Just a cam change & the fix from those 11.4s (running decent before) I'd have to say 11.0/11.teens @ 119-121.

thanks Cab, that and supension are my only worries though i thought with 3 needle/seats and 3 fuel bowls there might be a little lee way they will all get woked through Tex

My guess would be 11.20's with just the cam change and jetting. Just curious as I dont know if I just missed it but what gear and converter are in that Roadrunner ? Ron

hey Ron, this is a factory A12 car - dana with 4.1 and a 4200 stall -WAY TOO SMALL 275/60R15 MT no it's not my satellite,your not crazy just fast i would like it to go as fast as mine Tex

well i might be optimistic, maybe not, ? 511 ci motor is not small motor, and the cam not small either , along with heads, we run 11.0s in a car with allot smaller motor and smaller cam , pretty close on convert, in 67 coronet, 3800# w/410 gear after we get it dialed in it should be 10.70-10.80 car?

hey Dennis, not complaining. the only other 511 i have helped with,same comp was in an E body.had more cam 260/260(?) with about 600 lift,1000 BG carb,bit more stall,295/65R15 MT's,full Caltrac setup,maybe 100lbs lighter.it went 10.66@124 with electric exhaust cutouts open shifting at 5800. won't know till dyno then the strip.got to be ready for Mopar Rumble plus Nostalgia Drags in November i am prepared to be suprised thanks for all the replies Tex

Mr Yuck, for my part i always thought this car underperformed.it did have fuel issues which have been addressed though not to my satisfaction.the times were run with it quite lean,NO tacho or shift light. jetting was 74/75 outers 62 inner,cruise is good so have gone up to 79 outer jetting. squirter is i think stock have not checked springs but there is no bog. yes it should blow the doors off my Satellite too Ron i'll let Greg know Tex
