thats what I'm saying... woodgrain was inserted to match with upleveled interiors, but wheel itself is the same.

I'm talking about the S81 coded wheel

NOW if we are talking about the one with thin spokes and center horn button. AS FAR I NOW was no coded since was the basic wheel. I don't think basic parts are need for a code... or do they ?

and yes, I think I can find a WL21 Charger pic( coupe basic model ) with that wheel, but is a 73. Have to search but I know who was the car and still have the pic

Nacho - My '71 Bee is coded S81 which is the standard wheel for all Charger models (except coupe). So they DID code the standard components.

OK, then THERE could it be my confusion since brochure doesn't state a code for the regular wheel with center horn and I allways thought we were talking about the labeled pic with code on brochure

OK, my broadcast sheet says:

So does the horn pad mean the horn buttons or the wheel center?

It is the coding for the black 4025 GX9 steering wheel with 3-spoke horn buttons and the black 4037 GX9 3-spoke cover with spoke switch buttons. There would be a center wood-grain cover (3575017) which snaps into place and would have "DODGE" on it.

Probably the most common configuration on the 71 Charger based on my personal (limited) observations.

This is the wheel you talk ?

but for the this one shouldn't be coded. How do you code the BASIC equipment ? then if no wheel code, no wheel existance ?

as far I know the basic/standart equippment is normally not coded meaning IT IS the basic one

It means this wheel.
I have exactly the same coding on my broadcast sheet and this is the steering wheel in my R/T.
