I've been in shock all morning - called Chip at work to let him know( a hard thing to do). We held Gary in the highest regards--a man of integrity. We were fortunate to be able to see him at the "Big Bear" the last 2 years during the Nats- a real pleasure to be around! He was truly an ambassador of "northern" hospitality and will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Well how can I with my poor written and spelling express in words the feeling of loosing a good member.
It was only some days ago I read all the info on his momepage concerning his hunt for the 11sec race!
Well I know he must be pleased with the life he lived.
Think about his relatives and try to enjoy every day,, mopars or not!

I didn't know Gary but he allways seemed like a real nice guy, the kind you'd want as a friend and neighbor. RIP brother.

This is absolutely terrible. We have all lost a dear friend.

Wow I am so shocked. I did not know Gary in person, but have talked to him a bunch on here. He helped me out a lot w/ specs when building my motor. This is a terrible situation. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

RIP Gary. We have to respect these guys for what they do and as they leave for work realize they may never return home to loved ones & family. The dangers they face, the situations they are involved in is one that many of us would never want to live.
It takes a strong willed and couragous person to accept the duties of a police officer & fireman.

Having been involved in my local Citizens Police academy and been on ride alongs with the officers, you earn a greater respect for these people and at the same time realize, they are just another guy like yourself with the same feelings and hobbies and I think Gary proved that to all of us.
My prayers go out to his family & close friends.
And we all feel the pain of losing a buddy here at Moparts.

I,m shocked and sadden by this. We all have to build a castle in heaven while here on earth. Gary finished his . God bless his family and friends and the rest of you Moparters.

I remember when he took over for Brian_WO as a moderator.

He was a great organizer here at Moparts and seemed to be a born leader.

What a shock to hear of his passing.

I am stunned reading this news. As a member, I feel a certain attachment and familiarity with our mods, even without meeting them, ya know? So, this is very very sad news. It was a privilege to have had 'Unlawful' as a mod on this board.

Rest peacefully Gary, and my sincerest condolences to your family. I'll play you my best "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes when I get home. - Art
