Can you not just cut a piece of aluminium to fit and bolt it on there after you paint it?
But existing is basically all I do.

that is what i really want to do, however, i do not want to pull the engine right now, i have worked on the car for over 4years now, i changed directions on the factory air and want to go aftermarket for the better coolness, i really liked how you did yours, that is how i will do my one day when i pull the engine back out
