Block off plate - 09/08/11 03:18 AM

i have a 1968 dodge coronet, factory A/C car and i am converting to the new air system, i am wanting to block off the whole passenger side firewall with a piece of metal that i can paint the color of my car and either glue in or rivet in, i do not want to have to pull the engine to do this.

does any sell a block off piece to do this?

Can you not just cut a piece of aluminium to fit and bolt it on there after you paint it?

What he said , you'll have to fab something up yourself .

A one gallon paint can lid will fit the round hole just about right.

Welcome!
You'll probably be spending less doing it yourself if there was something out there anyway.

I made a block off plate for the same components in my wagon but it is welded in and not too pretty.

that is what i really want to do, however, i do not want to pull the engine right now, i have worked on the car for over 4years now, i changed directions on the factory air and want to go aftermarket for the better coolness,

i really liked how you did yours, that is how i will do my one day when i pull the engine back out
