What size wheels and tires are you running? Please post pictures and list wheel width ,backspace and tire sizes. I'm thinking I'm going with 8"wheel on the back 4.5" backspace with 275/60/15 and 7" wheel with 4" backspace with 245/60/15 on the front.

Here's how the car looks now with 205/70/14 they have to go.

very sweet ride dude! 60's are alot of meat to squeeze on a 7" rim and put up front. i would have serious doubts about your turning radius

I had 295/65x15 rear and 205/70x15 on the front of my F body. That much rear tire required rolling the fender lip and clearencing the wheel well righ tin front where the rear set belt mount was located. I also had converted to a B body 8.75 housing, which is a 1/4" wider per side than teh stock F body unit. Looked like a vintage pro stock car that way.

Previously I had 28x9x15 slicks, which are pretty darn close to 275/60. Fit great with a 15x8 rim with 4.5 backspace and require no body mods to fit.

Up front I'd recommend a 235/60 instead of the 245. Easier to find and cheaper to get while only giving up 10mm in width. these would work nice with your 15x7 plan.

The 245/60-15 will fit the front with no problem. With a little rework 325/50-15 will fit under a lowered rear as well. Requires some welding of the fender wells behind the rear seat and moving the springs inward . I used all stock parts. Axle choice depends on wheel off set.

How old are you? 60's indeed. I suggest you learn up on MODERN tire sizing.

Don't be the exception.

Here is a M-body coupe comparison, but as highlighted already, it's almost the same thing:

1) FRONT

2) REAR

3) REAR SIDE

Here is the tire sizing:

WHEELS & TIRES BRAND SIZE RIM WIDTH SPEC MEASURED WIDTH TREAD WIDTH DIAMETER MAX LOAD REVS

FRONT Yokohama Avid S/T 235/60R15 98T 6.5 - 8.5 7 9.5 7.4 26.1 1642@35 796

REAR Nitto NT555R 275/60R15 107V 7.5 - 9.5 8 11.1 8.5 27.76 2150@44 748

The rims are Centerline AutoDrag III, part numbers:
175804545
175705545

...basically 15x7 (front) and 15.8 (rear)

If I had a chance to do something different I would have gone with a slightly more offset on the rear rim...maybe another 1/2-1" more...that would have stuffed the tire completely into the wheel well as opposed to the sidewall being just even with the edge of the body line.

Talk about a trick question....OK lets start witht he oem 8 inch sc rims 15X8x4.5bs.

I myself like a bfg 275/60/15 rears I really dont like the sc 8 inch in the fronts so I went with the 8s on the rear and the same style 7 inch on the front with the 235/60/15.

The 8 inch sc rims work on the front but you need to watch your alignment as if its off a bit and your using outter rim weight it will shave them, so if using 8 inch 4.5 on the front use stickon inside weights.

On the R/T with the alterktion nothing on the fronts apply but the rear I run 10 inch rims for both 10.5 and 12.5 slicks or 12.5 bias.

The main pinch point is the most forward inside lil "box" where the back seat belt assembly bolts to, this box can be cut out and flat stock put there and still bolt your assembly back in.

Also in that front area the seam where the quarter panal and the wheel well meet is a approx a 1/2 to 3/4 lip, you can cut it every six inches and roll it inside and weld it up and gain clearence.

To make mine more difficult is ive a no mopar width dana, wider then a b but more narrow then an e but 12.5 slicks fit well which would be a 315 drag radial.

Really its limitless and up to your tastes, jegs is very good at listing the tread width, sidewall width, ect and with some smart thought and alot of measuring you can hit it right the first time.

What I do is for instance use a rim I know like a 8 inch 4.5 bs sc rim as well as like a 275 60 15 that jegs also lists the specs to and use that for a base to go off of.

Ive been lucky enough to be anal enough and spend enough time moching up and measuring and remeasuring ive never had to list a tire or rim due to lack of fitment.

If anyone would like pics of the mods the the front box or rolling th iner lip flush to the frame rail I can post them.

This is probably more confusing then helpful...

I know it's not a F body, but the dimensions are similar. I have 255/60's on the front and 275/60's on the rear of my 80 Mirada on cop wheels.

front 245/60/15 on 7"/4.25"bs Rallye
rear 275/60/15 0n 8"/4.5"bs Rallye

The rear wheelwell lip would rub the outside sidewall on a big dip. I think if the lips were rolled up they wouldn't rub, but before I could try it, the right front tire blew and I had to go back to my 14" tires.
I had these wheels/tires so I tried them. If I were starting from scratch, I'd go 235/60 on a 7" front, 255/60 on an 8" rear.
