Can you normally run a 29" radial tire on a duster? I know I wouldn't try bias slicks taller than 28". But since a radial probably doesn't grow as much can I run bigger? Fwiw I do have the springs relocated and tubbed but the outer fender lip is stock. What you guys getting away with? I will run a 325/50/15 if something bigger won't fit.

71 Duster, narrowed and tubbed. Stock outer fender wells. I run a 29/12/15 bias slick. I have to be careful on the roll out though. Anything over 91 inches and I have problems. I did relocate and center the rear diff in the wheel wells.

Strokerscamp I'm currently running an A-body 8 3/4 with moser axles. 15x10 welds
with 6.5 backspace. Current tires are 28x11.5 et drags. They fit very easily. I would like to run something a little bigger if possible. Something with a 12.5 tread width and 29 tall would fit. But my question is can I run a radial that tall or will it grow and hit my front fender lip at high speed.
Plus I don't really know all the drag radial size options. Thanks.

Radials don't grow as much, but they do grow. Just finished the paint touch up on my wheel well lip.

If you have 5/8" clearance they shouldnt hit... IF
necessary you can put a spacer plate in front of the
front spring hanger to space the axle back some...
dont get carried away with this unless you change
the drive shaft length

Mr P.
That won't work with the spring relocation kit as it does away with the stock mounts and is a matter of drilling 2 holes. Good idea otherwise though.
Looking at the mickey thompson radial sizes though and they pretty much go from a 28" tire to a 29.5 or 30". Not much in between.

I have the Hoosier 30x10.5 radial slicks. They have a 92.5 cir and are smaller than my 29.5X10.5 M/T`s. I`ll try again later to post a pic.
