i know this question has been asked a million times, but which air cleaner goes with the A12 roadrunner six pack setup? i am pretty sure it is the 'cold air' version with the lip. then it needs the rubber seal that seals to the bottom of the hood. is this the correct one?

i'm assuming (dangerous i know!) that the non cold air cleaner is for the 70 charger six pack.

any clarification? thanks!

Your image is of a 70-71 fresh air set-up. The 69 A12 base is entirely different. I believe this is also a minor difference in the lid.

thanks for the pics! feel free to educate me on the subtle nuances of the six pack air cleaner setup...i have been looking online for a few days and i am finding a lot of conflicting information, and a lot of descriptions without pictures.

i am trying to put together an A12 setup on my roadrunner and i am a bit confused as to which setup is correct.

Note the correct "wide lip" cover (same as T/A-AAR)

there's a thread that I can't locate that shows the differences of the original base with diamond <> shape bridges across the intake of the front and rear carbs for the lid stud and the more rounded shape () of the reproduction (at one time "scam filter base"). Also the filter centering or location tabs spot welded to the base are slightly different too on the reproduction version.

Nutso, are you looking for the correct OE one, or will a decent repro do?
You may be happy with a cheaper repop rather than track down and pay for a correct one.
I ask because you seem to be building a day three car, which I dig too, but that probably means you aren't going for the paint daubs and diamond vs circle hold down stuff.

mine doesn't have to be factory correct...just functional. mine is just a clone anyway.

You can get a repo from Ben Snowbar...i think thats his name.

A bit pricey, but then again, a nice original can set you back 1000-2000k.

The repos were $1500 for the BASE when they first came on the scene ..

they still are 1500, for just the base. no lid, or element.

lid is another 110, filter is about 100.

now you're in the price range of a real one.

Well, if the repops are that high, what's the point?
