Mopar_Country pro stock Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 1,216 Under My Car	Quote: checking out an 8 3/4 axle with a limited-slip and after pulling the axles i couldn't re-install the drivers side all the way. after closer inspection i found the inner set of clutch plates moved to where they are not aligned with the outer set. i tried to move them with no luck. any ideas on getting them back in alignment? thanks, dave Loosen the bolts on the sure grip slightly to relieve the pressure on the side gears and put an axle in there to line them up. Leave the axle in and tighten the bolts back up. If you ever get into rebuilding these a lot it's handy to have axle shaft ends cut off from bad axles as an alignment tool.
